TEDxYouthDay Countdown!

TEDxYouthDay is around the corner!

Approximately 100 events are happening in 44 countries. These events will feature talks in more than 20 languages.

Some events will happen in multiple languages, such as TEDxYouth@Amman. This event will include both English and Arabic speakers.

Other events are connecting across the globe. TEDxYouth@Conejo, in the United States, and TEDxYouth@Soweto, in South Africa, are communicating over video during their events, among other collaborations.

Viewing parties are being organized in 46 locations and counting! At these viewing parties, attendees will be able to watch any of the webcasting events, as well as TEDYouth, which will be streaming live in both English and Spanish, from the homepage of the new TEDxYouthDay website.

A new TEDxYouthDay introduction video, to be played at the start of all TEDxYouthDay events, was created from crowd-sourced video submitted by young people from around the world. The video explains what TED and TEDxYouthDay are through the voices of the kids themselves! Members of the TED community have created subtitles for this video in Arabic, Polish, Portuguese, Serbian, and Spanish — and more languages are on the way!

TEDxYouthDay events are shaping up to be engaging and inspiring. While the global theme is “Play, Learn, Build & Share,” individual events are featuring their own themes, such as “Love It? Do It!” at TEDxYouth@TampaBay, “The World within Our Grasp” at TEDxYouth@SanDiego, and “Bringing Ideas Alive!” at TEDxYouth@Amsterdam.

Participate in TEDxYouthDay by hosting or attending a viewing party, or submitting a video to the TEDxYouthDay question, “What can you share with the world?”
