TEDx organizer question: What does City 2.0 mean to you and your community?

  • TEDxTheBund: ...In my opinion, Web 2.0 really changed the world and leads us into a new age. A professor from Tongji University drew a picture that described the changes and differences between agricultural age, industrial age, and what we call the "cloud age" (today). These days the "cloud" connects us on a global level--services, goods, information, people--and enhances the exchange between these--by expanding access. The new network system has made society structure, social relations, and people's mind and behavior different. Right now, the City 2.0 concept is relevant.
  • City 2.0, especially because it allows an action pitch session, will be a powerful force to drive positive changes for our local community. I hope our event can explore these kind of changes, and encourage action. We are inviting many professionals with different background to attend the event. Hopefully, they can contribute more ideas and useful suggestions for our city's future.
