A Recap: Celebrating 2000 TEDx Events
In November 2010, was the 1000th TEDx event. On Monday, June 20th was the 2000th TEDx event. We asked the community their favorite memory from one of these 2000:
Favorite memory: organising TEDxWarwick 2011 with a bunch of incredible people at University of Warwick. — Matthieu Baril
Organizing TEDxLaçador meet people from TEDxPune, TEDxSinCity, the ones from Brazil, help to spread good ideas. — Ana Goezler
Bringing together a community of over 6,000 passionate TED fans, thinkers and doers over 10 TEDxSingapore events over the last 2 years. — TEDxSingapore Curators
The TEDx was amazing is TEDxAmazonia. With the spirituality of Zé Claudio, talking about his war every day to defend the Amazon rainforest. He said: Who kills a tree is a killer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78ViguhyTwQ&feature=youtu.be — Carol Abreu
Seeing government workers, teachers, scientists and artists engaged in real thought-provoking and respectful conversations at @TEDx NASA (both years!) — TEDxNASA
Getting an email 3 in the morning from Lara confirming that I got the license. — TEDxDubai
The minute after the final applause at our first TEDxSalzburg in 2010 when we wordlessly made the decision to start organizing TEDxSalzburg 2011. Here we go, join us on Sept 30th in Salzburg! — Friso Schopper
A great idea that really IS worth spreading. My favorite moment, despite the terrible sunburn that came along with it (those of you in Palm Springs will remember my red, bald head) is getting to spend an entire day brainstorming with and meeting the amazing TEDx organiser community from around the world at TEDActive 2011! -- Stephen Collins
